HarperCollins launched Author Assistant this September but the program had been in the works for a long time, and boy was it hard to keep it a secret--especially when we pulled about 40 authors together at the Romance Writers of America conference this past July to show them what Author Assistant was all about. They had to promise not to talk about it until October!
