Putting the X in Sex

I have a confession to make. I like it wild.
Yup, the wilder, the grittier, the edgier, the raunchier, the better. I'm not talking about my sex life (although...), I'm talking about those wonderful delicious sex scenes in books.
For me, too much love tossed in there, ruins the moment for me. I know. I know. Call me a cynic. That's just how I'm wired.
Yes, I write erotic romance and, yes, I also write paranormal romance, the key word being ROMANCE. But, sometimes, I just like a good ole' raunchy roll in the hay. Or up against the wall, or outside on the hood of a car, or on the kitchen table, or...I think you get my point.
When I read a sex scene, I want it to curl my toes, or make my thighs tingle, and...need I go on??? I think you know what I'm talking about.
Don't give me those flowery words. I want it raw and real and hot as hell. The ladies of Avon Red know what I'm talking about. Don’t you girls????
My character Sangria Silver from my story QUICK SILVER in the ALLURING TALES I and upcoming SILVER WATERS in ALLURING TALES II (releasing November 2008) completely agrees with me. That's the way she likes it.
She couldn't have been happier to be paired up with sex worker Vance Verona, who knows his way around a woman. He knows just the right way to touch her to make her squirm. And he's really naughty. I love that in a man!

How about you ladies, how do you like it?
Vanilla flavored?
With a little chocolate sauce?
Or strawberry with whipped cream and a cherry on top?
What authors do you think do it best?

Vivi, I love all those people who think, because I write romance and put sex in my stories, that I must do everything I write about.
My standard response to their nosy, "Do you do it all the ways you write about?" is: Yes, as often as possible and with great enthusiasm. :-)
Vivi, do you have a standard answer to these kinds of questions?

Vivi, do you ever find yourself doing research for your sexy scenes to find a fresh or new element to include? From say the Kama Sutra or another source?

Jenny Crusie's reply to whether she researched her sex scenes is CLASSIC. She said (something along the lines of) "I used to, but I got tired of keeping one hand free to take notes."
Actually, Vivi Anna, I am in interested in your reply!

Hi Kathryn!!!
I do use a kama sutra book, I also have a few other sex positions books. LOL
And I will fully admit here, out in the open with all you wonderful ladies...I have watched my fair share of porn.
Sometimes I need a visual when I'm writing a complicated sex scene. LOL You know to see where that leg would go, or that arm...
