Saturday is Saint Patrick's Day and in NYC that means the Saint Patrick's Day Parade. This year, I'll probably be hiding out at home, but usually the parade marches past our midtown offices, and I get to hear rousing bagpipe renditions of "Danny Boy" and "The Minstrel Boy" all day long.

It starts passing the offices around 11am and doesn't end till around 4pm. This has to be the longest parade ever--longer than the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

New York City has a parade for everyone, for example, but, yes, the one held annually on March 17th is the biggest of them all.

In honor of Saint Pat's, here's a book that is sure to please. Whether you're Irish or not (and the author is not!), you'll love this story of love, family, and finding her roads in life.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

My son is half Irish ... does that mean he can get away with not wearing green on St Patty's Day? I remember that if you didn't wear green to school and you weren't Irish, you'd get pinched.

Hmmm
