Valentine's Day meets Presidents' Day...

It's hard to believe, but (politics aside) some presidents actually made pretty good husbands.

In honor of Presidents' Day and Valentine's Day, here are five Presidential romances that seemed to stick.

In no particular order...

1) Theodore Roosevelt and Edith Carow: Childhood friends who reunited
2) John Adams and Abigail Smith: She didn't let him forget the ladies
3) Ronald Reagan and Nancy Davis: Not such great movies, but strong connection
4) Harry Truman and Bess Wallace: She was "the boss"
5) George Washington and Martha Custis: Often separated, always devoted.

Happy two holidays!

My favorite presidential couple is John and Abigail Adams. Their letters were poignant and sometimes if you read closely, a little sexy. I know that's weird to think but it's true!

I think they inspired the best in each other.
