Totally feel ya' My husband is an airline pilot and he always says "ya' know if this thing crashes, I am the first one to arrive at the seen" meaning he would crash first, so he never compromises safety, but sometimes it gets a little rough and same thing "don't panic until I panic" Too funny. Glad you made it to Alaska and hope it was a fantastic holiday!
