If you love mysteries--particularly the British procedural--you can’t go wrong with Elizabeth George.

Aside from being one of the few American authors who can write authentically within a British setting, her Inspector Lynley series is right up there with those of P. D. James, Anne Perry, and Ruth Rendell. She’s also one of the only two American mystery writers whose series has been adapted for PBS’s Masterpiece Mystery!

In CARELESS IN RED, now out in paperback, Thomas Lynley has left Scotland Yard after the shocking death of his wife and retreated to the Cornish coast. But murder has a way of seeing him out no matter where he goes, and he soon finds himself entangled in a case where he is the prime witness, and even a suspect.

This is a great summer read, not only for when you’re on the beach, but inside on a rainy day (which hopefully we’ll soon see the last of...) .

I absolutely adore this series and I've read every book but this one - waiting for it from the library.
