Yes, I'm ashamed to admit it's true. As Erika recently mentioned, I didn't watch my first episode of BUFFY until just a couple months ago, when I inadvertently revealed my teenage vampire-slaying ignorance to May, Erika and Esi ("Who's Joss Whedon?" ...Oops). This was remedied the very next day when May handed me Season 1 with the instructions to "guard this with your life."
Now wrapped up in the second season, I will happily admit I was missing out. Although, I have to say, there is now the added fun of watching something so distinctly 90s for the first time, a decade after the fact: messy buns and Clueless-era mini skirts, not to mention Buffy's chunky heel, closed-toe prom shoes with ankle straps, with which she kicks some serious Master Vampire-butt...

And Angel...sigh. Even before I watched BUFFY, I always imagined David Boreanaz as Jeaniene Frost's sexy "Night Huntress" series hero Bones. Although this may have more to do with the fact that David Boreanaz both played a vampire and now stars in the show BONES. I digress...

Now that I'm hooked, I can't wait to get embroiled in the deliciously sexy, "they want to but they can't" Buffy and Angel dynamic...I'll be certain to report back later. In the meantime, are there any other late-90s must see or must read shows or books I might have missed out on while living under that rock (aka Middle School)?

I suppose I should watch those since I do love a great vampire anything!! I do love Bones (the vampire) from the Night Huntress books but that is not what I picture him like.
Have fun watching Buffy

Have fun watching the Buffy series. I usually find some good series at the DVD area that I know I've never seen. It's funner watching DVDs than the series and waiting a week for the next show! :)

I know this is a late reply, but you absolutely must watch Angel, the spin-off series of buffy. Maybe it's because I am a guy, but I like that show so much more than Buffy.
